The Larceny is so soft and bright, I thought to compliment it with warm spices from the mix of Sweet Vermouth & Bitter Orange liqueur. The Coffee + Peppercorn added a nice floral spice and acidity to contrast the sweetness of the wheat & barrel. A Grapefruit twist tied it all together. So yum. Too crushable. 🏄♀️
1 ½ oz (45ml) Larceny 16
Dash of Absinthe for rinse (3 sprays from atomizer/ ¼ teaspoon / or 2ml)
¾ oz (22.5ml) Pink Peppercorn & Coffee ground infused Campari*
¾ oz (22.5ml) Antica Formula Sweet Vermouth
Method: Add all ingredients, Stir until perfect chill and dilution, Strain into frozen absinthe rinsed glass.
Glass: Nick & Nora
Garnish: Grapefruit peel
* Peppercorn & Coffee Campari: muddle 1 tbsp of fresh pink peppercorns to release essential oils, to that add 3 tbsp of used coffee grounds (or one used espresso puck) from your morning coffee! Pour 250ml of campari over the other ingredients and let infuse for at least 4 hrs (overnight in the fridge would be best)
